What's Tongues got to do with it?
Tonight's conversation centered largely around tongues and gifts in the body of Christ. JoAnn described her family background and her initial opposition to spirituality that was "wierd" and how that attitude came primarily from her father. Several others, Donna, Randy and Linda talked about how the Holy Spirit weekend at Alpha is a time when they see how the slow deliberate approach to new Christians is best. I'm going to try to post a comment again. I think that one of the issues we saw at the Holy Spirit weekend dealt with tongues as a prayer language and whether there needed to be an interpretation when praying for someone in tongues.
